Voice of Islam Radio Interview Mar 2026

In this short interview on the Voice of Islam Radio Breakfast Show, I argue that medical education should prepare doctors to do more than tolerate difference, it should help them understand patients as whole people and care for them with dignity, empathy, and cultural awareness. I emphasise the need to recognise bias, build trust, reduce stereotyping, and move medicine away from competition and toward humility, collaboration, and service. I also call for practical reform through values based student selection, meaningful exposure to diverse communities, strong educator role modelling, and a curriculum that fully embeds health inequalities and social context.
